Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT)
Source: Western Psychological ServicesDate Published: 1996Format: TextAnnotation: The Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT) evaluates a wide diversity of functions: short-term auditory-verbal memory, rate of learning, learning strategies, retroactive and proactive interference, presence of confabulation of confusion in memory processes, retention of information, and differences between learning and retrieval. Participants are given a list of 15 unrelated words repeated over five different trials and are asked to repeat them. Another list of 15 unrelated words is given, and the client must again repeat the original list of 15 words and then again after 30 minutes. This resource was identified by the NIH Disaster Research Response Program (DR2) for researchers looking for pre- and post-disaster data collection instruments.

Short Category Test
Source: Western Psychological ServicesDate Published: 1987Format: TextAnnotation: The Short Category Test, Booklet Format, reduces the length and complexity of the Halstead-Reitan Category Test, an indicator of brain damage. This new format retains the diagnostic power of the original test, effectively assessing cognitive deterioration in adults age 20 and older. This resource was identified by the NIH Disaster Research Response Program (DR2) for researchers looking for pre- and post-disaster data collection instruments.
